Jan Granlie

Jan Granlie (62) has been working with jazz since "the early morning" as member of the board of Molde International Jazz Festival, Oslo Jazzhus, Jazz- og rockeklubben Den ensomme ulv in Kabelvåg, Lofoten and Storyville Jazzclub in Molde where he's been booking the bands. He's also been booking the bands for JazzCup in Copenhagen (where he now lives) and is doing radio shows on the internet radio channel RadioJazz in Copenhagen.

He was the editor in chief for the Norwegian jazz magazine Jazznytt from 2002 - 2014, and he writes for danish JazzSpecial. A few years ago he published a jazz photo book, "My Favorite Things", and today he is writing reviews of concerts and records for salt-peanuts.eu.

salt-peanuts.eu is a nordic website for "strong music". It's a website run by volunteers,  publishing festival reports, concert reports, album reviews and news from the jazz world every day. They mostly writes about jazz, but also other kind of music, if they thinks it's good enough. The team consists of 7 - 10 people working voluntarily for the magazine, all year around.  From August 2018 to August 2019 they published more than 2500 articles. Every month they reach between 15000-30000 exclusive readers with the articles, and they hope to grow even more in the coming years.
