Agent / tour booker / What is the current reality for booking jazz in Europe?
We have seen how and why artists should perform in Europe today. It is both an artistic necessity, to circulate works and meet different audiences, but also an economic necessity for creative music. This work is carried out by the artists but also by a professional entourage. We want to do a first round of discussions with our partners about these different professions, agent, tour manager, in Europe. What are they? How do these professionals work inside the European “music market"? Are they numerous enough and trained to deal with current issues?
